Concentration, Speciation and Risk of Migration and Transformation of Soil Metals Around a Pb-Zn Mine

The migration and transformation of soil heavy metals around mines is a hot issue global concern. In order to evaluate the potential risk transformation, investigation surface sample collection were conducted Pb-Zn mine. Contents fourteen in four different fields analyzed. And speciation As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb Zn was detected by sequential extraction procedures. Then, characteristics them are discussed. Moreover, evaluated based on index (RI), bioavailability (BI), easier (EMI), harder (HMI). results show that metal contents Field 2, 3 4 higher than background values. they also cleaning control field (Field 1), except for Co, Mo, Th, Tl U. indicate exchangeable carbonate bounds 2 4. Furthermore, RI HMI 3, with values 21.2, 18.8, 10.2 1.95, 1.72, 1.49. Nevertheless, BI EMI 4, 1.22, 1.00, 0.85 1.823, 1.816, 1.765. This indicates element migration, bioavailability, more attention should be paid Finally, Zn, Cd concerned order. All these above not only aid determine priority metals, but provide basis selection decision making remediation strategies.
